Graduation present

So it's that time of year. Graduation month. I wanted to do something a little different for my cousin Abbee who just graduated highschool. So corey and I stayed up working on her gift for a few hours it turned out amazing.  I decided I wanted to make her a graduation hat out of money.
So I went to hobby lobby got a sheet of white bending foam, found cardboard, & $20 in ones.
We measured out the size of the hat cut the card board then cut the foam to match hot glued the foam to cardboard and starting figuring out what way we wanted the money to go. We then took a glue stick and glued the money to the hat.  I found a piece of yarn for the tassel and at the bottom of the tassel we glued a dollar.
Because the money was glued to the foam with a glue stick you could really peel it off if you wanted to but she loved it & doesn't sound like she will be taking it apart.. At least not now maybe later on. It turned out so cute and perfect.!
I also got a mason jar ($3) at hobby lobby bought red paper confetti to put in jar with the money my parents were giving her. I rolled the money up to look like diplomas and stuck it all in the jar & tied a ribbon around the lid.  It looked so cute.
