Payton's birth experience

Ok so here it goes.. I had scheduled a planned C section.. Yeah I know I heard it from everyone.. As you know before any surgery you can not eat anytime after midnight.. So we woke on December 10, 2012 and I was nervous but I mean who isn't before a surgery..? Corey and I had to be at the hospital by 11:00 to get checked in.. My parents, Sister, Mary and Tawny met us there.. They finally take me upstairs after getting checked in and take me to a room were I changed and got a gown on and got comfy.. Well I mean for what it was worth.. I was so nervous but so excited at the same time.. I couldn't wait to finally meet my baby girl.. They started a IV which everyone complains that they hurt. A piece of cake.. I layed there while I was getting fluid.. And they hooked me up to monitors.. It got real.. Quick.. As I lay there thinking of everything that's happening and about to happen I start shaking.. And I mean shaking.. Nervous, excited and everything in between.. They give me a blanket and I get cozy and finally was able to relax and clam down the nurse came in and told me it will be a bit before I can go back because they had a emergency C section come in and they can't fill both rooms..

Everyone was just hanging out talking till all of a sudden my alarm goes off for my monitor and I have nurses running in telling me turn to your left side then they start working on the monitors and I'm worried to death and as I look up at everyone else they all had the same worried look so that had me freaking out.. Well they said they will be back they show back up with the doctor and he talks to us about everything and they take me off saying Corey will be able to come in a few minutes.. They wheel me in this operating room..They switch me from one bed to the next.. The anesthesiologist talked to me for a few minutes.. He was really nice.. ( oh yeah I had the best nurse ever..) nurse Kathy she gave me a pillow and said It was time for my spinal.. lean forward and I will hug you.. This will feel like a pinch.. No joke it didn't hurt a bit.. Felt just like she said.. As she laid me down I started wondering were Corey was.. They said he will be in here shortly.. As I lay there Corey comes in dressed in the hospital outfit and the doctors put the blue sheet up and get everything ready while the spinal kicks in.. It's defiantly working that was the craziest feeling.. I can't even explain.. All I can say is I know what it's like to be paralyzed.. The doctors told me I was going to feel tugging, pulling, pushing I actually didn't feel much but defiantly remember the smell.. I only felt a little pressure here and there especially in my ribs.. But it never hurt.. I then here the doctors say look at her hair.. I remember asking them does she have 10 fingers & 10 toes..? They took her over to weigh her.. 7 lbs 9oz 19 1/2 inches..

And we have our selves a beautiful baby girl.. I remember looking at Corey as they brought her to us.. She's beautiful.. They gave her to me and I was in love, lost for words, excited we are so blessed with a perfectly heathly beautiful baby girl with a full head of black hair..!! We held her as they finished gluing me up.. They took pictures of us as a family of three..

I cant even begin to explain the love you have for your child.. I wish everyone could experience that feeling.. That was a moment i will never forget.. I then went to recovery Payton and daddy went to nursery were Nana, Papa, Aunt B, Granny, Aunt Tawny, & cousin Mary all got to see our beautiful Payton.

In recovery they told me after I can move my legs I can see daddy and Payton.. I never tried so hard at something my whole life.. What was worse was it felt like my legs were moving but they weren't.. After about 30 minutes I got them to move.. I waited about an hour total before they brought her to me.. Not long after they got us in our own room were we got to relax and enjoy our precious baby girl with our family.. We then had visitors like Nana, Papa, Aunt B, cousin Mary, Aunt tawny, uncle Greg, Elise, Billy, Juan, Alexi, Bryan, Kelsey. It was sure nice to have the company..  We couldn't wait to be home and start our life as a family of three..!!!

And as the last picture shows us leaving the hospital on our 3rd day.. I wanted to be home with my family getting settled in.
